COMMAND-LINE OPTIONS
====================

  --dbpath=<path>       Specify an alternative path to store Skype data files
                        Default: ~/.Skype
  --resources=<path>    Specify a path where Skype can find its resource files
                        Default: /usr/share/skype
  --disable-api         Disable initialisation of the Skype Public API
  --version             Display version information


ADVANCED INSTALLATION
=====================

We recommend installing the contents of the archive into /usr/share/skype.

The 'skype' script included can then be copied to /usr/bin and editing as
appropriate to include the paths where Skype's bundled Qt library can be
found.

If you're not running Skype from the current working directory, you will
also need to edit the 'skype' script.


KNOWN ISSUES
============

Calls

  * It is not possible to host conference calls, however participating in a 
    conference call is possible.

  * You will not receive a notification if another incoming call arrives 
    whilst you are already on a call.  It will be immediately redirected to 
    Call Forwarding, Voicemail or refused depending on your preferences.

Chats

  * It is not possible to create a multichat.
  * It is not possible to add users to a multichat.
  * It is not possible to modify/delete messages in a chat, or see later 
    changes from another client.
  * There is no button to retrieve a chat's history.  You can retrieve the 
    last 30 days by typing '/history' in the chat input area.
  * Chats can be removed from the chat list by pressing on them and choosing 
    'Hide Chat'.
  * Multiple chats can appear for the same participant in the chat list.
  * Emoticons are not animated.

File Transfers

  * It is not possible to send or receive files.

History

  * It is not possible to delete events in history.

Localization

  * Localization is not available.

Profile

  * It is not possible to set/change your avatar.
  * It is not possible to set/change your birth date.
