Goals of the Java Builders project

  • To build maximum functionality with the least possible amount of code.
  • To unify the best of open-source Java libraries into one common framework.
  • To deliver the best productivity for building Java applications, compared to any language on any platform.

Introduction

Although at this time all the development work is focused on the Java SwingBuilder, the Java Builder concepts are domain-agnostic. There is a proof-of-concept SWTBuilder as well and as soon as the SwingBuilder one is done, development will start on the SWT version. Below you will find general information related to all types of Java Builders.

Can I use a different language than Java?

All Java Builders rely mostly on run-time reflection. As long as your language of choice provides that information (e.g. declared methods, parameters, properties) it should work without any differences (famous last words).
